Dear Editor:
My name is Megan Gonzalez and I currently have two children in the Irvington School District. I would like to take this opportunity to endorse Paul Janos as a Board member.
I have known Paul for the past seven years and I really feel that he would be a terrific candidate for this position. His ten years of experience as Mayor and Trustee of the Village of Tarrytown would bring a great deal of experience to the table. As most of you probably know, teachers’ contracts are up for renegotiation in June, 2009 and Paul’s experience should be a real help in bringing the process to a speedy conclusion. As Mayor, he was able to think outside the box and come up with creative ways to bring additional revenue to the Village. This ability would serve Irvington well during these tough economic times.
