My son read this article online and was amazed. He said it was like hearing the stories I told him when he was a child about the pure fun of sledding and skating I had as a young girl in Tarrytown.
Henry Steiner has brought those magical memories to life again, particularly noting the songs that were playing on the loudspeakers were also the favorites of Dick Clark’s American Bandstand show. It was a time when all young people converged together with so much laughter and happiness.
