Build a Gut Sandwich Shop

There is a new look at 84 Beekman Avenue in Sleepy Hollow. It’s “Build A Gut” which goes beyond its name.

Besides the fresh hand-packed burgers, fresh-cut seasoned fries, the loaded hot table everyday (pastrami, brisket, corn beef, soups, sausage, peppers and onions plus daily specials) there are salads (Caesar, tossed with chicken, or tuna and egg), wraps, deli sandwiches, Boar’s Head cold cuts sliced to order, fresh-made muffins, brownies along with fresh brewed Seattle’s Best and Coffee Labs coffee, and breakfast sandwiches served all day long (are you kidding!). They also feature sandwiches like the “Mother Load” (4 eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, potato, cheese on a wedge) and the “Gut Buster” two grilled cheese sandwiches with an 8oz burger between them, the “Thigh Master” boneless charbroiled chicken thighs, cheddar cheese, bacon and mayo on a wedge, and so much more.

This bright spot on the Avenue has a lot to offer when searching to fill that hunger. Catering is available for parties and events, party wedges, platters, jumbo chicken wings for the kick-off, and so much more. There is also the “Build A Gut” roaming kitchen, that is available for parties and makes many appearances at events in the community.

The concept is to serve good fresh food the way food was meant to be. The food is charbroiled, not fried, on the griddle, when it can be.  The atmosphere is bright, clean and cheerful, offering student specials and senior discounts. “Build A Gut” is also working with the schools and the community to be a helping hand.

So the next time that hunger hits, or you just need Boar’s Head cold cuts for lunch or for people coming over, or maybe you just want a good cup of coffee say, “Let’s Build A Gut it!” (B.A.G. it!) for some good wholesome food that hits the spot and more. Filling the needs of all different types of appetites and diets.
