The Tarrytown Music Hall is a main sponsor of the event and is generously offering their space and assisting with equipment to help support the event. The Music Hall offers great acoustics, a convenient and spacious location, and hopefully will make this event even better. In the past, the fundraiser was a hit at the Captain Lawrence Brewery and at Hudson Harbor, which had silent auctions featuring jewelry, wine, art, and gift baskets from local businesses.
The money raised by this event goes to the Sleepy Hollow Performing Arts Boosters, which helps fund the performing arts in the middle and high schools of Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown. Specifically, funds help support the dramas and musicals, music competition trips, scholarships, and equipment for the performing arts department. Recently, the Performing Arts Boosters funded the refurbishment of an irreplaceable eighty-year-old Baldwin piano essential to groups like the Jazz Band at Sleepy Hollow High School. For a taste of what the fundraiser contributes to, the cast of the spring musical, Pippin, will perform a song at the event.
Tickets are on sale now from the Tarrytown Music Hall for $75. District teachers and students over 21 are half price. After January 3rd, the price will rise to $100, so buy your tickets now!
