Yan Pevzner, pianist, composer, arranger and educator will anchor a jazz concert at The Union Church of Pocantico Hills, 555 Bedford Road, April 29 at 3:00 p.m.
Joining Yan will be Joe Abbatantuono on drums and Bob Gingery on acoustic bass. Yan holds a Master’s Degree in Jazz Performance and Composition from New York University as well as an Artistic diploma in Jazz and Classical Piano from Aubervilliers National Conservatory in France. He is endorsed as a Yamaha Performance Artist. In addition to performing, Yan teaches jazz and classical piano at the State University of New York/Westchester Community College. His CD "State of Mind" has been reviewed by Wes Gillespie as "…simply outstanding and providing a journey from contemporary to fusion and from Latin to bebop."
