Gotta Sing Events, a new live entertainment company founded by Lisa Reich and Hildee Isaacs, is reinventing the sing-along in a fun, fresh new way, designed especially for “Gen-Xers, Baby Boomers and Beyond.”
Founded in 2025 by longtime collaborators Reich and Isaacs, Gotta Sing Events was born from their shared love of music and the songs that shaped their lives. Those formative experiences were always joyous and always in community, such as theater productions and singing groups. While most adults don’t have the time for those things Reich and Isaacs realized that what could bring people together for at least one night is the passion of music fandom: the songs people love to hear are the songs they will love to sing.
Also at the core of Gotta Sing Events’ mission is the audience they aim to serve: Gen-Xers and Baby Boomers—demographics that are often ignored in the event and nightlife markets. “Other group participation events we went to all started late at night, ran long, and the music was too loud. Sure, we loved all that during our 20s and 30s, too; but now? We like to be home by 10pm,” quipped Reich, who added, “and the sing-along events we went to didn’t provide the lyrics—it was expected that everyone there would know the songs by heart. We put the lyrics of every song up on a big screen because although our attendees may know all the songs, they don’t necessarily remember all the words”
On February 1, 2026, the company hosted its very first event, and its success confirmed what they already believed: people are craving joyful group gatherings that invite participation, connection, and just enough flair to really make it feel like a special occasion.
While it shares some characteristics with karaoke, at its heart Gotta Sing is really the opposite: the focus is on everyone there—no solos, no one put into the spotlight. It’s about the whole room singing together.
Gotta Sing: BROADWAY—and all of their upcoming themes—feature the iconic music audiences grew up with and still love today. But what truly sets Gotta Sing Events apart is their commitment to playing the original recordings—no backing-track accompaniment or karaoke versions— as well as their custom-made lyric videos that are both functionally effective in helping everyone sing along and visually interesting. “Having the lyrics visible there on a big screen gives people more confidence, which means they participate with more energy, which means they have more fun,” say the founders.
The company’s debut sing-along theme is Broadway, and future experiences are in development, including The ’80s (followed by other decades); genre themes (such as Yacht Rock); Girls’ Night Out (celebrating all the great music women have contributed to our collective playlists); and, of course, many more!
“Gotta Sing: BROADWAY” will take place on March 1st at Invito Restaurant in Elmsford, New York; and on April 17th at the Red Light Cafe in Atlanta. While regional growth in those two parts of the country is the immediate focus, the long-term vision is national expansion in the years ahead.
