The Rivertown Painter’s Studio Announces Adult Art Workshops

Local artist Ronnie Levine, who is often seen around town working on her street scenes and house portraits, will be teaching a workshop series this fall.

Ronnie, a three-time winner of grants from the Westchester Arts Council, is the artist who repainted the front section of the mural at Tarrytown’s Main Street Sweets, and she is the writer of River Journal’s recurring feature, "The Artist’s Eye."

Classes will meet on Tuesdays at Neighborhood House, 43 Wildey Street, Tarrytown (one block west of Warner Library) . Brief lectures will be followed by individual instruction covering such topics as color mixing, composition, perspective and portraiture. Students at all levels are welcome. Sign up for either 5-7 P.M. or 7-9pm. Tuition from September 16-November 18 is $275. Bring your favorite paints or oil pastels or request a materials list when you register.
