I’m writing to express my enthusiastic support for Liz Santillanes, a candidate for the Union Free School District of the Tarrytowns (TUFSD) Board of Education.
Liz is a longtime Sleepy Hollow resident, a parent of two children in the district, and an active PTA leader who has built strong relationships with families, teachers, and school leadership. She brings warmth, thoughtfulness, and deep community roots to everything she does.
In addition to being a highly engaged parent, Liz has a professional background in strategy, communications, and organizational leadership—skills that directly translate to the responsibilities of the Board. She listens carefully, does her research, and leads with both compassion and clarity.
I believe Liz would bring a grounded, inclusive, and forward-thinking perspective to the Board—and I hope the River Journal will consider covering her campaign and endorsing her candidacy.
