Third Friday is back and entering another new phase of its life. Having been generously supported, first by the Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow Arts Council, and subsequently by the Village of Tarrytown the event is growing up and will begin to operate almost self sufficiently beginning in June.
It will continue to receive personnel support from the Police, Fire, and Recreation Departments, with the last receiving a small Village funding allotment for programming. Thanks to the tremendous financial support from the merchant community, the event has sufficient means to continue, with aims to match last year’s extended calendar including an event in December. The current management team will remain involved with the program and are now exploring additional corporate funding (contact TarrytownThirdFriday@ gmail.com for information and sponsorship opportunities).
Looking to the future, please join us on Friday June 15th for the annual Tarrytown Third Friday Pet Parade, presented by Bark & Meow and honoring Guiding Eyes for the Blind. We will assemble at 7:00pm, outside TF Andrew and walk, wiggle and slither our way down Broadway, ending with a novelty Dog Show and Pet Boutique (see www.TarrytownThirdFriday.com for registration info).
