Dr. Barbara Kapetanakes

Dr. Barbara Kapetanakes has moved her office from 358 North Broadway to 239 North Broadway, across the street from Sleepy Hollow Middle and High School.

Dr. Kapetanakes has a Masters in Education in School Psychology and a Doctorate in Psychology, both from Pace University in Manhattan. She did her internship at Children’s Village in Dobbs Ferry and worked for eight years as a School Psychologist before switching to full-time private practice in 2003. She also has a Post-Doctoral Certificate in Neuropsychology from the Fielding Institute and is going through the process of applying for Board Certification from the American Board of Professional Psychology/ Association of Clinical Neuropsychology.

Dr. Kapetanakes specializes in working with adolescents, families going through divorce, and completing assessments for learning disabilities, Attention Deficit Disorder, disabilities after head injury, stroke, or surgery, and dementia. She also works with all ages struggling with anxiety, depression, and general stress. She has worked with young adults dealing with the transition to college, and those facing the challenges of career after education.
