Tarrytown’s First Pet Fair

Calling all animal lovers! On Saturday, June 27, from 10 AM to 3 PM, Tarrytown’s pet boutique Bark & Meow and Friends of Neperan Park are joining forces to host the first annual Petpalooza, a kid-friendly, free pet fair in Neperan Park.

“Petpalooza is a way to expand my store’s popular summer pet parade, which I’ve been running for 8 years,” says Bark & Meow owner Laura E. Haupt. The pet parade will START AT NOON in Neperan Park with the pied-piper marching through a portion of the aqueduct, and then back to circle around the park—all types of animals are welcome. Make sure you dress your animals for the best-dressed contest and have them ready to show off their special tricks! Other activities include story time with ‘Sparky’, a Dalmatian owned by author Rick Aruzza, nutritional counseling, pet-related giveaways, a raffle and more. Several pet adoption agencies will bring animals in search of forever homes. The pet fair came about because Friends of Neperan Park wanted to find more ways for people to enjoy the park and Bark & Meow was looking to host a pet event for the Rivertown communities. The event will be a fun way to meet your two- and four-legged neighbors. All leashed and well-behaved pets are welcome. Rain date: June 28th.
