Lewisboro Democratic Committee Endorses Cait Conley for Congress in New York’s 17th Congressional District

NY-17 congressional candidate Cait Conley announced the endorsement of the Lewisboro Democratic Committee, becoming the first town committee in Westchester to endorse a candidate in the Democratic primary to defeat Mike Lawler.

This endorsement builds on the growing momentum behind Conley’s campaign. In 2025, the campaign raised more than $1.9 million and entered 2026 with over $1.2 million cash on hand. Conley also received notable endorsements from former NY17 candidate Jessica Reinmann, Dutchess County Democratic Committee Chair Michael Dupree, Lewisboro Town Councilwoman Julia Hadlock, Pound Ridge Supervisor Kevin Hansan, Cortlandt Town Supervisor Dr. Richard Becker, Village of Haverstraw Trustee Richard Sena, and Patterson Town Councilwoman Gwen Dougherty, as well as national Democratic organizations like VoteVets, The Next 50, Majority Democrats, and New Politics.

“The Lewisboro Democratic Committee enthusiastically endorses Cait Conley for CD17,” said Jenn Castelhano, Chair of the Lewisboro Democratic Committee. “Cait’s leadership skills and focus on the issues impacting Hudson Valley residents will bring real representation back to the people of this district.”

“I’m honored to have the support of the Lewisboro Democratic Committee,” said Conley. “I am continually inspired by the strength we are building around the shared belief that Hudson Valley families deserve a representative who will actually put people first and deliver results on lowering costs. I’m proud to stand with Lewisboro Democrats as we build the coalition needed to defeat Mike Lawler and restore principled leaders to Congress.”
