Meet Drax!
Drax is named after a Marvel Superhero. Drax is an eight-year-old mixed breed, half Jack Russell Terrier and half Shui Tzu. We like to call him a designer breed, although some people would say he is a mutt.
He is very protective of his family and especially guards our grandchildren. He absolutely loves Tarrytown, especially the Bark and Meow Pet Store on Main Street, where the owner Laura always gives him a little treat.
One of Drax’s favorite activities is walking along the Riverwalk in Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow. He is friendly with everyone and reserves his barking only for the big dogs he encounters, who are at least triple his size. Drax has a bit of a Napoleon complex!
Drax is a master of relaxation! He can sleep just about anywhere and at any time, sometimes with his legs sticking straight up in the air! The only thing that will wake him up fast is when we open the refrigerator door! He is very consistent about eating his dinner every night at 5pm and he will do a little dance and start howling if we are late in feeding him.
Drax is a very lucky rescue dog because he has such a loving home, and we are likewise very lucky to have found such a sweet and wonderful dog!
