Meet Cooper

Cooper is our sweet, goofy, and wonderfully quirky 6-year-old Golden Retriever who proudly rules our household. Born during the height of COVID near Lake George, New York, Cooper is our beloved “COVID puppy.” He lives with his devoted parents, Perri and Bill, but much to Cooper’s chagrin, his brother, Andrew and sister, Megan both live halfway across the country. But this allows Cooper to enjoy the spotlight at home.

One of Cooper’s favorite pastimes is sitting on the front stoop, guarding his impressive collection of lacrosse and tennis balls. He loves being outdoors year-round – even in the dead of winter. It’s not unusual to find him happily perched in a snowbank, watching the world go by. But hot weather is another story. During the dog days of summer Cooper can often be found relaxing on the cool bathroom tile floor, enjoying his favorite indoor retreat.

Despite being a Golden Retriever, Cooper is terrified of water and won’t go near a pool, lake or puddle. But what he lacks in swimming enthusiasm, he more than makes up for with his love of sticks, bathmats, and treats of every kind. His all-time favorite indulgence is a strip of bacon from the Briarcliff Market and Deli during his daily walks around Briarcliff with Mom and Dad.

Cooper is deeply loved by his family and by just about everyone he meets. He brings joy, laughter, and endless entertainment to our lives every day, and he is truly honored and humbled to be Pet of the Month.
