Park Passes, Swim Passes Available at Many County Parks

Westchester County Park PassesWith summer just around the corner, it’s time to pick up your Westchester County Park Pass and Season Swim Pass for a summer of fun in Westchester County Parks. A Season Swim Pass is available to Westchester County Park Pass holders only and allows unlimited access to Glen Island Beach in New Rochelle, Saxon Woods Pool in White Plains, Tibbetts Brook Pool in Yonkers and Willson’s Waves in Mount Vernon all summer long.

Parking charges are included in the price of the Season Swim Pass. An individual Swim Pass is $100, $75 for senior citizens. A Family Swim Pass is $250 and includes a maximum of two adults and all children ages 5 to 18 living at the same address only. All family members must be present at the time of purchase. The passes can be purchased only at the Swim Pass locations, beginning Sunday, June 15.

Westchester County Park Passes are available to any county resident age 12 and older who has either a driver’s license or photo identification with proof of Westchester residency. The Park Pass is a photo identification card that provides you with entry to all county-owned parks, pools and beaches where county residency is required and discounts on swimming fees. One park pass holder can bring two adult guests; adult pass holders may additionally bring in up to five children under age 12 at the guest fee.
The pass also entitles the holder to various discounts on parking, golf, camping and boat launching.

An individual Park Pass costs $60 and is valid for three years from date of issue. It must be obtained in person and is non-transferable: it can only be used by its owner. A Family Park Pass is available for families who need to purchase two or more park passes for their household. The pass is $120 and covers two adult passes and any children ages 12 through 18 living in the household. The Family Park Pass is valid for three years from date of issue. All family members must be present at the time of purchase; individual passes are issued to each person.

Senior Citizen Park Passes for adults age 60 and older are available for a fee of $60 and are valid for six years from date of issue. Park Passes for disabled residents are also available for $60 and are also valid for six years. An eligibility form must first be obtained from the county’s Office for the Disabled by calling (914) 995-2957.

Park Pass Issuing Locations

Passes are available seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at all six county-owned golf courses: Dunwoodie and Sprain Lake in Yonkers, Hudson Hills in Ossining, Maple Moor in White Plains, Mohansic in Yorktown Heights, and Saxon Woods in Scarsdale, and at Croton Point Park in Croton-on-Hudson.

Passes are also issued weekdays (Monday through Friday only) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Westchester County Center in White Plains and at the parks department’s administrative office at 450 Saw Mill River Road in Ardsley.

At Playland Park in Rye, passes are issued from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, when the park is closed. Passes are available from 11 a.m. until one hour before the park closes when the park is open. For park hours, go to RyePlayland.org or call (914) 813-7000.

Passes are also available daily through Labor Day, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Glen Island Park in New Rochelle.

Beginning Sunday, June 15, passes will be available daily through Labor Day at Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers, Saxon Woods Park in White Plains and Willson’s Woods Park in Mount Vernon, and at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation in Cross River. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
