Irish Heritage Festival Comes To Ridge Road Park

Westchester County Executive Robert P. Astorino announced that the annual Irish Heritage Day will be held on Sunday, July 30, 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., at Ridge Road Park in Hartsdale. “Experience the luck of the Irish at an event dedicated to the traditions of the Emerald Isle,” Astorino said.  “There will be music, dancing, tips on staying fit and, of course, bagpipes.”

This year’s slate of entertainment features the Tara Gold Band, Susan and Gerard Irish Band, a bagpipe band performance, the Deirdre O’Mara School of Irish Dancers, and performers from the New York Studio of Irish Dance.

Festival attendees can shop the vendor tables for arts, crafts, jewelry and more. Activities for children include games and Westchester County’s fitness-center-on-wheels, the Fit Mobile.

Mass begins at 1 p.m.

Admission is $5 per adult. Children under 14 are admitted free. There is ample free parking available. Seating is informal. Bring blankets or chairs for seating on the grass. The festival will be held rain or shine. No coolers are allowed. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
