Healey Brothers Automotive Group’s Driven to Give Foundation will host its Fifth Annual Golf Outing on Oct. 2 at Osiris Country Club in Walden, N.Y., bringing together local businesses, community partners, employees and supporters for its largest fundraising event of the year. This year’s outing marks a major milestone as the Foundation seeks to raise a record $100,000 for Make-A-Wish® Hudson Valley, enough to help grant approximately 10 life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses across the region. To register, visit www.healeygolfouting.com/.

Over the past five years, the Driven to Give Foundation has grown its annual golf outing into its signature fundraising event, supporting organizations throughout the Hudson Valley including the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley, Habitat for Humanity, Hospice of Orange & Sullivan and many others. This year’s record goal represents the largest charitable gift in the Foundation’s history and reflects its ongoing commitment to keeping its philanthropic efforts local.

“We are incredibly proud to partner with Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley for this year’s golf outing,” said Jay Healey, Chief Marketing Officer at Healey Brothers Automotive Group. “Reaching our goal of raising $100,000 would allow us to help grant wishes for children right here in our community. Knowing our collective efforts can bring hope and joy to local families is incredibly meaningful. This milestone would not be possible without the tremendous support of our employees, customers and especially Ford Motor Company, whose commitment to both its dealers and the communities they serve has helped make this goal achievable.”

The $100,000 fundraising goal comes at a critical time for Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley. Currently, more than 150 children across the region are waiting for their wishes to be granted, including 41 children in Orange and Dutchess counties alone. On average, each wish costs approximately $10,000, making community partnerships essential to fulfilling the organization’s mission.

“We are incredibly grateful for Healey Brothers and their ongoing commitment to making wishes come true for local children and families,” said Kristine Burton, President & CEO of Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley. “Through the Driven to Give Foundation, Healey Brothers has demonstrated what it truly means to invest in the communities they serve. Their dedication to giving back reflects the very best of our community. With more than 150 children currently waiting for their wishes, including 41 children in Orange and Dutchess counties alone, Healey Brothers continues to inspire hope, spread joy and create meaningful impact through the support of their employees, customers and partners. Together, we are not only granting life-changing wishes, but also building a stronger, more compassionate community where every child can experience the transformative power of a wish.”

The event will once again feature one of its most meaningful traditions as attendees hear firsthand from a local Wish recipient about the impact a wish has had on their life and family. The moving presentation serves as a powerful reminder that the outing is about much more than golf. It is about bringing hope, strength and joy to children when they need it most.

“The success of this event has always been a reflection of the generosity of our employees, customers, business partners and the communities we serve,” said Brian Healey, Director of Pre-Owned Operations at Healey Brothers. “As we celebrate the fifth year of our golf outing, we’re proud to support Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley and help create hope for local children and their families. We look forward to welcoming everyone for what we hope will be our most successful outing yet.”

This year also marks Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley’s 40th anniversary of granting life-changing wishes throughout the region. Since 1986, the chapter has granted more than 3,500 wishes, creating lasting moments of hope for children and families facing critical illnesses.

Established with the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan, the Driven to Give Foundation is a permanently endowed fund that awards grants to nonprofit organizations throughout the Hudson Valley while also supporting scholarships for students pursuing careers in the automotive industry. Keeping charitable dollars in the Hudson Valley remains the cornerstone of the Foundation’s mission.
