Club Fit in Jefferson Valley rolled out a new, small group fitness concept on Thursday.

Yorktown officials joined the health club’s leadership to cut a ribbon on HIITROW, a state-of-the-art studio equipped with the latest gear that offers classes designed to burn fat, build strength, or improve flexibility. The workouts change every week to be progressive over a four-week block.

Yorktown is seeing heightened investment in health-oriented businesses. Sportime Pickleball with 12 courts is expected to open at the Yorktown Green shopping center by the end of the summer. On March 1, 50 Plus Training, a personalized fitness studio for adults over 50, celebrated a ribbon cutting at 356 Downing Drive in Yorktown Heights.

“The new investment we are seeing in Yorktown spans all sectors,” said Supervisor Ed Lachterman. “Whether it’s national retailers, individually owned restaurants or fitness concepts, business owners recognize that Yorktown’s mix of families, children and active adults is a desirable market that is welcoming to new services and products.”

Club Fit has two locations in Jefferson Valley and Briarcliff Manor offering comprehensive health and fitness facilities and programming to enhance quality of life and physical wellbeing. Club Fit offers more than 100 group classes every week.
