Benchmark at Mount Pleasant, Thornwood’s first assisted living community, officially opened its doors last Wednesday evening at 2 Zeiss Drive behind the Rose Hill Shopping Center. Over 100 people attended the opening event at the new Westchester County senior assisted living and memory care community. A highlight of the event was a ribbon-cutting featuring the community’s first resident, Hilde Sachse, town supervisor, Carl Fulgenzi, and Mount Pleasant chamber president, Donna Ruzzi.
