Westchester Children’s Association, the county’s only independent child advocacy organization, will host its third annual Commissioners’ Conversation on Tuesday, June 17, at the Greenburgh Public Library (300 Tarrytown Rd, Elmsford, NY), from 8:15 AM to 11:00 AM. The event is open to the public and is proudly sponsored by M&T Bank Charitable Foundation.
The Commissioners’ Conversation provides a vital forum for key Westchester County officials to share updates, insights, and strategies for addressing the challenges facing children, youth, and young adults. Departments participating include Social Services, Community Mental Health, Health, Probation, Youth Bureau, and Workforce Development.
This year’s discussion comes at a particularly urgent time, as federal funding cuts threaten the stability of critical programs and services that support families across Westchester.
“In the face of shrinking federal support, local leadership and collaboration are more essential than ever,” said Allison Lake, Executive Director of WCA. “Last year’s event was a tremendous success, attendees appreciated the chance to hear directly from Commissioners about their visions and priorities for our county’s youth. This year, we’re excited to build on that momentum, using data to drive cross-agency solutions and improve outcomes for children.”
