The Arc Westchester, the largest organization providing services and supports to people with developmental disabilities in Westchester County, celebrated the completion of major renovations at its Ann Manzi Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 699 Main Street, Mount Kisco.

More than 100 guests, including local and state officials, community leaders, donors, and families, gathered to commemorate this milestone. Dignitaries in attendance or represented included Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins; Village/Town of Mount Kisco Mayor J. Michael Cindrich, Deputy Mayor Theresa Flora, Trustee Karen B. Schleimer, and Trustee Angie Guerra; Assemblymember MaryJane Shimsky; Legislator Erika Pierce; Damian Garcia (representing Senator Kirsten Gillibrand); Roberto Williams (representing Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer); James Persons (representing Senator Peter Harckham); Heather Mieko Lackey (representing Assemblymember Chris Burdick); and Dianna Cardillo (representing the Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce).

“These renovations transform the Ann Manzi Center into a more welcoming and inclusive space for everyone we support. From the new nature trail to the enhanced accessibility features, every upgrade reflects our commitment to helping people of all ages lead healthier, more connected lives,” said Tibi Guzmán, CEO of The Arc Westchester.

Upgrades include an accessible nature trail, expanded parking, improved lighting and security, a new entryway and awning, ADA-compliant bathrooms, and other functional and aesthetic improvements.

The project was funded through private support from The Arc Westchester Foundation benefactors, including the Manzi family, Masket family, Phelps Community Foundation, Marshall + Sterling, and the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation. Government funding typically only covers basic maintenance, making private contributions critical to the project’s success.
