6th Annual Family Pride in the Park Returns to Downtown Peekskill

Peekskill Pride is proud to announce a month-long series of events celebrating Pride Month 2026, culminating in the organization’s signature 6th Annual Family Pride in the Park on Saturday, June 27, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Pugsley Park. The free, family-friendly festival has become a hallmark of inclusion, visibility, and community spirit in northern Westchester.

Headlining this year’s celebration is acclaimed drag performer and Provincetown talent Paige Turner, creator and host of New York City’s premier live drag reality competition, So You Think You Can Drag? A multi-Glam Award winner and international performer, Turner is known for her all-live musical comedy productions and dynamic stage presence.

The afternoon will feature performances and activities for all ages, including School of Rock (Briarcliff Manor), Nola Bunny‘s stilt walking and bubble show, family story times with Katarina Mirage, youth performances from The Dance Conservatory, and music by DJ Toney da Tiger of the iconic House of Aviance.

Festivalgoers are welcome to bring a picnic or enjoy refreshments from local vendors, including Diggity Dogs and an on-site ice cream truck, or stop by any of the fabulous downtown restaurants before or after the event. Attendees can also browse a diverse selection of vendors, artisans, community organizations, and local businesses while exploring a dedicated Family Fun Zone coordinated by River Towns Music Group and supported by Macaroni KID, featuring arts and crafts, games, face painting, and sensory-friendly activities for children and families.

“Seeing how this event continues to grow and bring people together year after year is truly inspiring,” said Brian Fassett, Vice President of Peekskill Pride and Peekskill City Councilmember. “Our goal has always been to create a visible and welcoming community where residents, workers, and visitors alike know they belong. Embracing our diversity makes Peekskill stronger, and that is something worth celebrating.”

The festivities will continue later that evening with the Official Pride Afterparty at Gleason’s beginning at 9:00 p.m.
