Westchester Women’s Chorus Sets Holiday Performance for Dec 13-14

Carol Arrucci, a retired Hendrick Hudson choral music teacher, performer, and former Broadway music director along with her husband Ray, actor, musician, and business manager, founded the Cortlandt School of Performing Arts (CSPA), currently with three locations, in 2012.  In 2019 Carol established and nurtured her 56-member, community-based ensemble of four-part harmonists bringing top notch entertainment to Westchester and neighboring counties entertaining veterans, local audiences, long-term care residents, and performing at fundraisers for needy families and as volunteer singers in malls and local restaurants.  The group has grown exponentially every year with an increase in membership including new young and vibrantly talented women. The sold out shows in 2022 and 2023 were a triumph which this year’s show will certainly be.

The Westchester Women’s Chorus, (WWC) will return on December 13th and 14th at 7:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Ossining—ushering in the holidays, with a concert of eclectic music and traditional holiday songs. This year’s exciting program entitled “Holiday Harmonies” promises to fill the audience with cheer and good will.  The troupe is venturing into such ambitious territory as tackling the Traditional 16th Century monastic Latin song of praise, “Gaudete” and the most famous Jewish prayer for peace, “Oseh Shalom”. The audience will rock Please  roll and tap their feet to familiar favorites such as, “Run, Rudolph, Run,” “The Greatest Time of the Year,” “The Holly and the Ivy” and many more heartwarming tunes.

General admission tickets are $20. Tickets for senior citizens and students in first through 12th grades are $15. Prices include a post-concert reception offering free delicious holiday desserts lovingly baked by the chorus members themselves.  Purchase tickets online at: womenschorus.ludus.com. Sales for tickets purchased at the door are cash only for $25. Go to WestchesterWomensChorus.org for parking suggestions.
