Union Church Welcomes New Music Director

Union Church of Pocantico Hills, a non-denominational community of faith institution, is delighted to welcome Katia Kravitz as the new Music Director. Kravitz’s first Sunday at Union Church was Sunday, October 13th, 2024, at 10 am ET.

Kravitz is an accomplished pianist, organist, and choir director with a Doctorate in Organ Performance from Rutgers University and extensive experience as both a teacher and a performer.

Kravitz has been the Assistant Music Director at Temple Beth-Abraham in Tarrytown for 11 years and she will continue in that position. Pastor Patricia Callahan adds that the position works very well alongside our own needs at Union Church, and “we are excited to share this special relationship with our neighbors.”

Kravitz’s bio:

She has performed as a soloist and chamber music collaborator with distinguished musicians across Israel, Europe, and North America. Born in Moscow, she began studying piano at the age of six.
