Shakespeare at the Hudson Valley Writers Center

This February, join Lovely Calamity Productions for an exploration of Shakespeare’s histories as they present HV: What is Honor? at the Hudson Valley Writers Center in Sleepy Hollow.

HV follows Shakespeare’s Henriad cycle, chronicling the fall of a flawed king, the unlikely ascension of a hero, and the birth of a unified England from the chaos of the Hundred Years War.

Adapted and performed by Shenendoah Thompson, this daring, one-man performance is an intimate look at the mental toll of leadership and the true price of greatness. From the boisterous Falstaff to the battle-hardened Henry V, Thompson inhabits six unique characters who clash, conspire, and collide as they wrestle for the soul of a nation.

By distilling multiple masterworks into a single, visceral performance HV strips away the pageantry and reveals the raw, human heart beating beneath the armor. It’s a tour-de-force not to be missed!
