On Sunday, March 8 in celebration of International Women’s Day, RiverArts will present a chamber music concert celebrating the work of six women composers whose music spans nearly two centuries.
Under the direction of RiverArts Chamber Music Director Peter Seidenberg, the acclaimed Solis Trio will perform works by Fanny Mendelssohn, Amy Beach, Mel Bonis, and contemporary composers Jennifer Higdon, Reena Esmail, and Andrea Casarrubios.
Though separated by centuries, each of these composers pushed creative boundaries in a field long dominated by men. The concert serves as a powerful intergenerational story of artistic innovation, persistence, and legacy.
Date: Sunday, March 8
Time: 4:00 p.m.
Price: $40 per ticket
Location: Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church
