Meet Chyna!
Chyna will be turning 18 years old in October which in cat years that makes 88 years old. It was love at first sight when I saw Chyna as a kitten on a snowy day in November of 2008, she was the cutest! She looked like a fluffy cotton ball but at the same time fragile like fine China which is how I came about her name. A beautiful, classy kitten I came across from a friend’s niece who couldn’t keep her, I was at the right place at the right time, I immediately called my boyfriend to ask if we could keep her and here we are.
Chyna is a sweet cat who can also be grumpy if overly stimulated, but she does love children as she grew up surrounded by our nieces and nephews and although she loves to be petted, she hates to get picked up. Chyna loves to eat wet food; she will follow us around while meowing until she’s fed. She loves to sunbathe in her catio that my husband built in the front of the apartment and watches the people and other animals shoo by.
Although in her senior years she is still strong hopping around and climbing on top of places. Our son, who is almost 5 considers her a sister, they are best friends. Chyna is a special piece to our family as she represents the start of my relationship with my husband in 2008. We are grateful to be able to share her with our son as well and wouldn’t know what to do without her.
