Westchester County Office for Women Launches Personal Care Donation Drive for Domestic Violence Awareness Month

In recognition of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Westchester County Office for Women (OFW) is launching a personal care donation drive to support individuals and families impacted by domestic violence. The initiative will collect essential toiletries and personal care products for distribution to domestic violence service providers, women’s shelters and individuals receiving assistance through the Office for Women.

Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins said: “No one should have to worry about access to basic necessities while navigating an already difficult situation. This donation drive is a simple but meaningful way for our community to come together and support survivors of domestic violence. By providing everyday essentials, we can help restore a sense of dignity, comfort and security to those who need it most.”

Westchester County Office for Women Acting Director Catherine Borgia said: “Domestic Violence Awareness Month is an opportunity to remind survivors that they are not alone and that Westchester County is committed to connecting them with the resources and support they deserve.”
