Main Street School fifth graders participated in the annual World Language Fair at their school on March 16. Facilitated by Irvington Middle School and Irvington High School teachers and sixth through eighth grade students, the fair was designed to help the fifth graders decide which language they would like to study next year in sixth grade.

“This was the first of many transition events to support the fifth graders in a smooth and positive transition and help them to make an informed decision about their choice of language,” MSS Principal Joyce Chapnick said.

During the event, the students participated in educational activities in both Spanish and French. Special thanks to the student leaders who volunteered to share their love of language and engage the younger students in these fun activities.
