The Pantry Announces 2026 Community Table Gala for April 30

The Pantry (formally known as the Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry) will host its 2026 Community Table Gala on Thursday, April 30 bringing together community leaders, neighbors, and supporters for an evening dedicated to ensuring that no one in our local community goes hungry.

As food prices remain elevated and many households continue to feel economic pressure, the need for food assistance across the 21 communities The Pantry serves remains significant. Nearly 1 in 3 residents in Westchester County live in poverty or survive paycheck-to-paycheck. This leaves thousands at risk of food insecurity. The Pantry is a weekly “choice pantry,” that provides fresh produce, dairy, grains, and protein to families who select foods based on their needs and preferences. This dignified model ensures our guests take home food they know how to prepare and will enjoy. Our work is sustained through a strong operational infrastructure, complemented by a large and dedicated network of volunteers, and by the generosity of our neighbors and donors. Together, they support every aspect of our services, from distribution and food rescue to guest assistance and home delivery, helping ensure consistent access to nutritious food for those we serve – especially during times of uncertainty.

In Fiscal Year 2025 alone:

  • Food from The Pantry fed over 115,000 people, including nearly 30,000 childrenand 12,000 seniors.
  • The organization distributed over 922,000 pounds of food- enough to prepare more than 3 million healthy meals.
  • On average, The Pantry served over 700 households each week, representing more than 2,000 individuals.
  • 675 volunteersdonated more than 12,000 hours of service to ensure that every neighbor is welcomed with dignity and care.

“At The Pantry, we see the reality behind the statistics,” said Trina Ward Fontaine, Executive Director. “When over 115,000 people in one year rely on us for food, it tells a powerful story about both need and community. The Community Table is more than a gala – it is a statement that our neighbors matter, and that together we can ensure that every child, every senior, and every family has enough nourishing food at their table.”

The 2026 Community Table Gala will feature curated cuisine, live entertainment, and inspiring stories that highlight the resilience of the families served and the dedication of the volunteers who power the mission. Proceeds from the event will directly support The Pantry’s ongoing efforts to meet rising demand and maintain access to fresh, healthy, and culturally responsive food.

The Community Table invites residents, businesses, and civic leaders to be part of the solution by attending, sponsoring, or making a contribution.
