Opening Thursday, September 5, 9:00am
On Time and Place: Celebrating Scenic Hudson’s 50 Years
Join us in Teatown’s Nature Center Gallery for the opening of a new photography exhibit celebrating 50 years of Scenic Hudson. Since 1963, Scenic Hudson has worked to preserve the Hudson Valley’s beauty. And this curated exhibition of photographs pays tribute to the organization’s inspiring story and to the Hudson Valley’s people and communities. The diverse group of artworks includes traditional landscapes but also views of waterfronts in transformation and places bearing scars of pollution and other challenges still to be addressed. Free. Goldenrod Days
September brings the heralding of fall with goldenrod and asters blooming in the fields. Join Maggie Pichura to search for animals that use these plants for food and homes. Classes begin the week of Sept. 10 and run for 8 weeks.

LITTLE TREEHUGGERS, 2-3 year olds with caregiver
Tuesdays 10:00am-11:15am or Wednesdays: 1:00pm-2:15pm
Sow the seeds of nature knowledge with your child. Children and parents are encouraged to use all of their senses to explore autumn.

KNEE-HI NATURE, 4 year olds
Tuesdays: 1:00pm-2:30pm or Wednesdays: 10:00am-11:30am
Boundaries disappear as children explore the natural world of bugs, rocks, habitats and more. Each session features a short hike, story or craft and visits with animals.

Hook Mountain Migration
Catch the first wave of raptor migration at Hook Mountain with Charlie Roberto. Meet at the Par three golf course parking area in Rockland Lake State Park for the 30 minute steep ascent to the top of Hook Mountain. There will be many stops along the way, wear sturdy hiking boots and bring water and binoculars. FREE. Please note this program is for adults only. Wilderness Survival Skills
Could you survive in the wild? The first and third order of survival, how to build a shelter and create fire, will be covered by instructor Rachel Haft in this full day class. Cliffdale Hike
Join Elissa Schilmeister on a hike to Cliffdale Farm and back to Teatown. Along the way, look for life in Griffin Swamp. Once at the farm, visit the chickens before having lunch at the Native American site. Bring Lunch and water and wear hiking boots. Please note this program is for participants ages 7 and over.
