It’s For The Birds!

The annual Tarrytown Beautification Foundation’s home-made bird house event is here again! Everyone is encouraged to build a bird house – any shape, any size, any color, made out of any material (that does not conduct heat).

The holes should be between 1 and 1/2 to 2 inches in diameter. Expertise in building is not necessary. The bird houses must be completed and brought to Michael Christopher Antiques, 23 Main Street by May 1st. They will be on display in many of the shops on Main Street for two weeks and then brought to the Main Street Firehouse to be judged on May 15th (3rd Friday). This year’s theme is recycle, reuse, think green, but it is not mandatory that the theme be incorporated into the building of the bird house.

Entrance categories are:

  • Children under 13
  • Children 13 and up
  • Adult
  • Extreme (over the top houses taking 100 hours or more)

We will add more categories as the houses arrive.

If you have any questions call Chris at 914-332-0338 or stop by the shop and chat.
