At the Music Hall — Solo Piano Recitals By Graduating Seniors

Jesse Humm and Peter Wood, two seniors at Sleepy Hollow High School, will give solo piano recitals at the Tarrytown Music Hall on Friday, June 20 and Tuesday, July 1 respectively.

The recitals begin at 7:30pm and are free of charge.

Jesse’s recital will include the Sonata Op. 14, No. 1 by Beethoven, Waltz in C# minor, Waltz in E minor and Mazurka in G minor by Chopin, Intermezzo Op. 118, No. 2 by Brahms, Papillons by Schumann, Liebestraume by Liszt, and Sarabande and Clair de Lune by Debussy. Peter’s recital will feature Sonata Op. 27, No. 2 "Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven, Polonaise in A major, Nocturne in G minor, Waltz in E flat Major and Waltz in C sharp minor by Chopin, Liebestraume by Liszt, Clair de Lune by Debussy, Nocturne by Poulenc, and Prelude in C sharp minor by Rachmaninoff.

Jesse currently performs with the high school jazz band, jazz trio and local band named "Go Ahead." He is also a violinist and has played in the Sleepy Hollow High School orchestra and advanced quartet. He will be attending Wesleyan University in the fall of 2008 and is excited to continue his musical education at the renowned ethno musicology program. Peter plays the violin and performs in the Sleepy Hollow Orchestra and an advanced string quintet. In the fall of 2008 he will be a scholarship piano student at Stony Brook University.

Both Jesse and Peter are classically trained piano students of Helen Ringeisen at the Mozartina Musical Arts Conservatory in Tarrytown.
