Join us Sunday, June 28, from noon to 6 p.m. at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla for the 40th Annual African-American Festival, celebrating Africans, Caribbeans and African-Americans — a festive showcase of culture, community, and connection. This year’s theme is A Legacy Preserved: Celebrating 40 Years of History, Culture and Impact, honors four decades of celebrating and uplifting these traditions.
The festivities will feature live entertainment including music dance and line dancing. All six hours will feature drama, poetry, ethnic foods, health and educational vendors, free health screenings, cultural arts and crafts, and more.
Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins said: “For four decades, the African-American Heritage Festival has showcased the culture, traditions and achievements of the African, Caribbean and African-American communities. As we celebrate this milestone anniversary, we honor the generations whose contributions have helped shape Westchester and continue to inspire future generations.”
