To the Ossining Community:
As we approach the school board election on May 19, I am writing to share my strong support for the re-election of Rob Melstein to the Ossining Board of Education.
In my time serving alongside Rob, I have seen firsthand the level of dedication and preparedness he brings to our district. Being a trustee is about more than just attending meetings; it requires a deep dive into the nuances of policy, finance, and community needs. Rob is consistently prepared, ready to ask the difficult questions and his push to deliver better outcomes for our students.
What stands out most about Rob is his commitment to the process of collaboration. He understands that while we may not always agree on every detail, the goal remains the same: the success and well-being of every child in Ossining. He listens, weighs perspectives fairly, and consistently acts with a professionalism that fosters a productive environment for the entire board.
We are currently at a pivotal moment for our district. With the recent approval of the capital bond, Ossining is embarking on a transformative period of construction and facility upgrades. Managing projects of this magnitude—including the building of a new school—requires a board with steady hands and institutional knowledge. Rob has been part of the planning and the vision behind these investments; having his oversight and continuity during the implementation phase is a significant asset to our taxpayers and our students.
Rob is a diligent advocate for our community who approaches this volunteer role with the seriousness it deserves. I believe his continued service is vital as we work to ensure our schools remain a point of pride for all residents.
I encourage everyone to come out and vote on May 19 at Ossining High School, and I hope you will join me in supporting Rob Melstein for re-election.
