For Earth Day, How to Use Discarded Plastic Bottles to Capture Rain Water

In recognition of Earth Day, high school student is presenting on Zoom how to build a rain harvest watering system using discarded plastic bottles to capture water for gardens and landscapes.

This student’s environmentally-friendly invention is currently being shared with villages and communities in Uganda, Namibia, Lesotho, Angola and South Africa as a way to conserve water and address the issue of up-cycling plastic waste which has become a major problem in many parts of the world including in our area.

After the presentation, an instructional video will be shared with participants.

This student’s goal is to spread her innovation as far and wide as possible to benefit communities and to help people harvest every drop.
