Sleepy Hollow Physical Therapy to Present Sprint Triathlon

Registration for the first annual Sleepy Hollow Sprint Triathlon has begun. The race takes place on Sunday, June 28 beginning at 8:30 a.m. Those interested in participating can register online at www.sleepyhollowpt.com.

Proceeds from the event will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Westchester/Hudson Valley Chapter.

“We are thrilled to be able to introduce a sprint triathlon to the community of Sleepy Hollow,” remarked Dr. Richard Giordano of Sleepy Hollow Physical Therapy, presenting sponsor of the event. “This community fun event gives Sleepy Hollow Physical Therapy, through the Lymphoma & Leukemia Society, an opportunity to help patients in these tough economic times by raising money to directly benefit patient care services. In addition, this event provides the Sleepy Hollow community the beginning of an annual tradition of community involvement and camaraderie.”

The scenic course includes a 1/2 mile swim off Kingsland Point Park beach; a 10-mile bike ride through Philipse Manor, Sleepy Hollow, and Mt. Pleasant; and a three-mile run along the shores of the Hudson River in Kingsland Point Park, including a loop around the historic Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse. Space is limited so early registration is strongly encouraged. The entry fee is $100 for individuals and $150 for relay teams.
