Kendal on Hudson Appoints Health Services Administrator

Kendal on Hudson, a Continuing Care Retirement Community located in Sleepy Hollow, announced today that Karen Harvatin has joined as Health Services Administrator.

"Karen brings years of expertise in senior health and wellness, having served residents in adult homes and nursing homes in upstate New York, including Dutchess County," says Patricia Doyle, Executive Director at Kendal on Hudson. "She will oversee our resident care center, skilled nursing, enriched housing and the fitness and wellness programs working with a diverse resident population." The mission and philosophy at Kendal on Hudson is creating an environment focused on wellness, independence and autonomy.

Ms. Harvatin was formerly an administrator for a not-for-profit Adult Home and Assisted Living community in Poughkeepsie. In addition, she was a board member of the Dutchess County Office for the Aging. She holds a BA from SUNY Albany and an MBA in Business Administration. "I believe the next 10 years will be an exciting time in the health care industry with cutting edge research and technology, and the philosophy of Kendal represents an exciting opportunity to be part of the next decade."
