Incoming kindergarten students at Dows Lane Elementary School got a memorable introduction to their educational journey with a special first school bus ride on Aug. 25. Accompanied by a family member, the students rode the school bus with Principal Dr. Andrea Kantor and Assistant Principal Megan Hanson. They learned important lessons about kindergarten expectations and bus safety.
“The students were thrilled to climb aboard and take a ride around the school,” Dr. Kantor said. “The experience helped ease the transition into kindergarten and helps the students feel more confidence as they begin their journey in Irvington.”
