Being recognized as a Commended Student is an honor given annually to outstanding students who achieve exceptional scores on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Although Commended Students will not continue in the 2025 competition for scholarship awards, they placed among the top 50,000 students who took the qualifying test in 2023.
