Ossining Wine and Liquor is hosting a Grand Re-Opening Ribbon Cutting with the Greater Ossining Chamber of Commerce to celebrate their new ownership of this anchor business for the Croton Avenue business corridor. At the event on Saturday, May 16th at 1:00pm, community members are invited to meet the new owners and check out some of the offerings they are introducing.
Santosh Rani and her family have worked in the liquor industry for twelve years and have always wanted to own a family business. They were looking to open in a community where they might ultimately want to move and establish their home. The Grover family currently lives in Queens.
They were introduced to the previous long-time owner Adriana Santucci through a mutual friend. After years of running this family business, Adriana wanted to sell it to another family that would continue the tradition of family members working together. Santosh and her brother-in-law Sam are the faces you will see in the shop most often, but her husband will be pitching in too.
The new owners are excited to continue the legacy of this landmark business, particularly the strong community connections. One way to mix with their customers and new neighbors will be every Friday and Saturday from 5-9pm when the store will be hosting wine tastings to introduce new seasonal offerings.
