Gertrude Smith has lived in Sleepy Hollow for ten years, and one year ago she and two other women opened their housecleaning business with a simple and effective name – Cleaning Ladies. They specialize in residential homes, condominiums, co-ops and apartments. “I truly like to clean and am very thorough,” Mrs. Smith said during a recent interview. “When we arrive we dust the entire living area, clean the bathrooms, vacuum, then clean the kitchen and the floors. The only thing we don’t do is clean windows.”
The Cleaning Ladies will travel in any direction up to thirty minutes from Sleepy Hollow. “We are professional and very reasonably priced,” she added.
