Quality High, a locally owned and operated craft cannabis boutique dispensary, will celebrate their grand opening in Sleepy Hollow on September 27 with a ribbon cutting with Mayor Martin Ruytna at 11am. After years of dreaming, planning, and visiting farms across New York State, the co-founders opened the store with one goal: to offer high-quality, craft cannabis in a welcoming, down-to-earth environment. Their unique microbusiness license enables them to handle every step of the process, from seed-to-sale. The shop offers a carefully curated selection of New York–grown cannabis products, all personally sourced from independent farms across the state. In addition to retail offerings, Quality High’s own cultivation facility will be opening soon, enabling them to offer their own product that’s crafted with the highest standards and utmost quality.
“Sleepy Hollow is a town shaped by legend, and we wanted to create a cannabis experience that honors that spirit,” said Matthew Nicoletti. “We’re not a cookie-cutter dispensary—as a licensed microbusiness, we grow our own flower, work directly with small New York farms, and stay hands-on from cultivation to retail. We’re not trying to be the biggest—we care about doing things right.”
“This is personal for us,” added co-founder Nate Lyons. “We’ve spent the last few years honing our craft to grow and source what we believe is the best flower out there, and to create a space where people feel welcome to shop, ask questions, and learn about our process and products.”
Located at 25 Beekman Avenue, Quality High offers a carefully curated menu of the highest quality flower, pre-rolls, and unique edibles, all sourced directly from small New York farms and producers. By visiting growers and cultivating direct partnerships, the team ensures customers have access to rare strains and standout products not commonly found elsewhere.
With a focus on education and trust, Quality High aims to raise the bar for what a dispensary can be. Customers will find a team of knowledgeable budtenders trained to offer personalized recommendations, no matter your experience level.
“We think cannabis should be approached with care, knowledge, and integrity,” said Nicoletti. “At Quality High, we’re here to build relationships—with our clients, local business and the community.”
Restoring a Piece of Sleepy Hollow History
During the renovation of the historic 1912 building, the team made an unexpected discovery: the original metal and tin wall and ceiling finishes, long hidden beneath layers of time. Rather than covering them up again, they chose to honor the craftsmanship of the era by carefully and lovingly restoring each detail. Remarkably, the century-old design elements aligned perfectly with the aesthetic the team had been envisioning for years.
“It was incredibly lucky,” said Lyons, a former Construction Manager, “to uncover this incredible piece of the building’s history—and to have it fit so naturally into our plans. It like this was the space we were meant to be in.”
This thoughtful restoration mirrors the company’s larger approach to cannabis: hands-on, intentional, and deeply rooted in craft. Just as they honor the heritage of their building, Quality High honors the process of cultivation—offering products that are grown with care, curated with purpose, and proudly local.
The dispensary is now open to customers 21 and over. There will be an opportunity to meet the pastry chef they partnered with for their one of a kind line of edibles, try some of his (non-cannabis) products, and enjoy 10% off all products all day. The store is open Tuesday – Sunday 11am-8pm.
