Forest Life in the Summer – 2 p.m.
Kids will discover everything from the tops of the trees to the soil beneath logs.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 10

Butterfly Bonanza – 10 a.m.
A visit to Westchester’s largest butterfly garden to learn to identify these winged beauties.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 11
Croton Point Nature Center, Croton Point Avenue, Croton-on-Hudson – (914) 862-5297
Open House with New York State Archaeological Association/Lower Hudson Chapter – 1 p.m.
Explore the past and work on the collections. More info at lablhc.org.

Monarchs and their Friends – 2 p.m.
Bring binoculars to catch, view and release butterflies in the meadow.

Beginner level listen-and-learn walk to discover birds and their calls.

Bring work gloves and help spruce up the butterfly garden.

First Fall Migration Bird Walk – 7:30 a.m.
Bring binoculars to view warblers, vireos and raptors starting to make their way south.

MONDAY, AUGUST 26

Fourth Monday Bird Walk – 8:30 a.m.
Bring binoculars for a hike with members of Saw Mill River Audubon. More info at  sawmillriveraudubon.org.
