September 2014 Horticulture Prorams at Lasdon Park and Arboretum

Lasdon Park and ArboretumLasdon Park, Arboretum and Veterans Memorial is a magnificent 234 acre property consisting of woodlands, open grass meadows and formal gardens with flower and shrub specimens from all over the world. The park is home to several inspirational memorials and a museum honoring Westchester veterans.

September Events Schedule:

Composting 101 – Saturday, September 6, 9 a.m.
Learn the basics of composting and creating your own garden soil. Fee $5; pre-registration required by 9/5.

Tour of the Main House – Sunday, September 7, 2 p.m.
Learn the history of the park during a tour with the horticulturist. Meet at the Shop at Lasdon. Reservations required at (914) 864-7264.

Fall Plant Sale – Saturday and Sunday, September 13 and 14, 11 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Shop end-of-season prices for shrubs, trees, perennials and house plants at the Shop at Lasdon.

Walking Tour of the Lasdon Shrub Border – Sunday, September 28, 2 p.m.
Join the horticulturist for a walk through the Memorial Garden shrub border. Meet at the Shop at Lasdon.

Lasdon Park, Arboretum and Veterans Memorial is a Westchester County Park that is located on Route 35 in Katonah.
