On September 17, Cait Conley, Democratic nominee for New York’s 17th Congressional District, and Pete Buttigieg, former U.S. Secretary of Transportation and Mayor of South Bend, rallied with nearly one thousand Hudson Valley voters at the Tarrytown Music Hall ahead of the upcoming November 3rd election.
“We don’t have to put up with today’s policies, politicians, and broken political system. We could chase out corruption and build a better politics that responds to the people. To do that, we must elect leaders who understand who they ought to work for, and voters have a chance to do that by electing Cait Conley to the United States Congress. Cait has proven that she is serious about keeping our country safe, just like she is serious about bringing down the cost of housing, healthcare, and energy. And she will take on corruption because she believes that politicians shouldn’t profit off our democracy, which is a bit of a contrast in this race,” said Buttigieg.
“I’m going to need your help to get out our message, and make sure Hudson Valley voters know that we don’t have to settle for a corrupt career politician like Mike Lawler — who will always put himself, Donald Trump, and the corporations and special interests backing his campaign first. It’s going to take each and every one of us, but come November 3rd, we’re going to send Mike Lawler packing and take the first step toward a better, more affordable future for all of us — because America’s best days are still ahead of us. So let’s go out there, fight like hell, and win,” said Conley.
Cait Conley was also joined on stage by New York State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins, and elected officials and public servants representing communities across the Hudson Valley.
