An exhibit of outdoor photography by Westchester resident Michelle Nicolosi will open with a reception on Saturday, June 1, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the WPA Gallery at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation in Cross River.
Titled “Sanctuary,” the exhibit was inspired by the artist’s recent travels through New England, where she was struck by the beauty of nature in the area. Nicolosi focuses her attention on color and texture in an attempt to evoke the moods and emotions her subjects have inspired in her.
The artist is a native New Yorker and long-time resident of Amawalk.
“Sanctuary” will be on view daily 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Ward Pound Ridge Reservation is located at the junction of Routes 35 and 121 South in Cross River.
