You and your child or grandchild can have fun together as you learn the basics of gardening during “Adventures in Horticulture” for youngsters ages 3 through 6 to be offered on Friday mornings during August at Lasdon Park, Arboretum and Veterans Memorial in Somers.
Master Gardener Caroline Fanelli will show children and their adults how to explore the world of nature through greenhouse and gardening activities, nature walks and special projects, with different activities each week.
The program will run on Fridays, August 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Sign up for one, two or as many sessions as you like.
Fee is $6 per child, which includes supplies, and registration is required.
