Historic Hudson Valley is building a new headquarters on Bedford Road, across the way from Stone Barns Center. You can see it here under construction and in this rendering of the finished product.
The new space will include offices, exhibition space, meeting space, and Historic Hudson Valley’s library, which is currently set up in a wood frame house in Sleepy Hollow. None of the items on display at the organization’s historic sites, which include Washington Irving’s Sunnyside and Philipsburg Manor, will be moved here, but the new building will give the non-profit organization appropriate space to display objects in its collection that have been in curatorial storage and out of view.
