The Westchester Putnam NY Toys for Tots campaign today announced the launch of its 2026 holiday collection drive. The regional organization will host its kickoff breakfast at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Westy’s Self Storage, 395 Saw Mill River Road in Elmsford.
The breakfast marks the operational launch for Westchester and Putnam counties, bringing together business owners, civic organizations, and volunteers to organize the season’s collection and distribution efforts. Attendees may pick up official toy collection boxes, register as volunteers or toy drop sites, or donate a new, unwrapped toy.
“Our goal every year is to ensure that no child in the Westchester and Putnam region goes without a reason to smile during the holidays,” said Mary Phifer, Coordinator for the Westchester Putnam NY Toys for Tots campaign. “Each collection box we fill, each toy we sort, and each distribution we complete offers hope that can help strengthen families and communities for years to come.”
Businesses, organizations and community members can support the campaign by:
- Attending the kickoff breakfast;
- Hosting a public or private toy collection box;
- Volunteering for sorting shifts;
- Bringing new, unwrapped toys to the event; or
- Making a financial contribution online.
Monetary contributions may be made securely through the official local website. Donations are used to help purchase toys to address local needs across age groups in both counties. To register for collection bins or make a contribution, visit WestchesterPutnam-NY.ToysforTots.org.
Complimentary breakfast will be provided for registered attendees.
